Which carts do you use in certain driving classes? What are the average prices for them? Are there places that sell used carts?
For breed shows, we use show carts with patent or vinyl baskets. We have carts from Jerald, Graber, and Houghton. If you want to show in the Roadster classes, you need to have a cart with a removable basket, stirrups, and a closed arch over the wheel (AMHR).Which carts do you use in certain driving classes?
a fully equipped Jerald show cart can run $1700-$2200, my Houghton last year at Nationas was $1300, and Grabers are $800-$1000. Easy Enrty carts start at about $400, Meadowbrooks $800-$1200, and competition marathon carts START at $2000. Boinky here on LB has started making and selling show carts--they look nice and are very reasonalble. What are the average prices for them?
Check out EBay and the Little Beginnings Sale Board! I picked up a Jerald Viceroy on Ebay this winter for $500!! I found my Graber on the LB board a few years ago for $800 and it included the cover, and I got my Bellcrown off the Saleboard WITH a Carriage House Marathon harness for under $2000.Are there places that sell used carts?
Now Dr. Pam, that just isn't fair! (But I'm glad you found it!)I got my Bellcrown off the Saleboard WITH a Carriage House Marathon harness for under $2000.
I second that one!! Have also never found any nice carts for sale on Ebay and I look once in awhile. You are one lucky person!!Which carts do you use in certain driving classes?
