    problem delivery

My maiden mare went into labor on her due date, she had no bag to speak of and she had never loosened the muscles in her back end. After several minutes I saw a red bag start to appear. I quickly opened it and saw one tiny hoof, for just a moment as the mare immediately got up and started...

    Our New Filly

She's adorable, is she a pintaloosa, from the left side looks like she might have frosting over her rump. Congratulations on a beautiful girl and my sincere condolences on the loss of your other mare.

Sick 3 month old mini Filly

I don't know about up there but we don't have any mosquitoes out yet to transfer west nile. Had a mare do something similar to this a while back and it was eventually determined that she had an internal abscess that was around her back end, pelvis area. Was able to treat it successfully with...

Boy oh Boy! Boy after boy!

Congrats Tony! When you posted the last 11 colts : I was thinking it's a good thing you raise such little ones, makes it easier to move all those little boys. Love that little black and white guy, he's a doll :

    First foal from my stallion

Her mane is too dark to be palomino. My guess, is that she will be a red roan just like her mother. Pretty filly, Congratulations!!

    Question number of foals

Thanks Jane and Marnie, I'm asking because I have a 15 year old mare that just delivered her eleventh gorgeous show quality foal with the ease that she had delivered the 10 before. Some friends said I was cruel to keep breeding her, personally I think it would be cruel not to. She wouldn't know...

    Question number of foals

Just a question for all you breeders. What is the most number of foals you have ever known a mare to have? and what is the oldest you've ever had a mare deliver?

WE had a foal and these colors are getting me!!

Pretty girl! My first question would be, has the stallion been tested to indeed carry two dilute genes, could he be a very light palomino, in which case a sorrel filly would be very likely. She's a beautiful girl, Congrats!!
