I can not believe it! This is so amazing and I owe it all you those of you who have helped and encouraged me to try this!
Shadow went in to the vet at about 11. Surgery was at one. Both legs were done by 1:30. They opted not to geld at this time.
I arrived at 4 to check on him, I went back to see him, he looked good, was in a tiny stall hard to see results, but his hind legs were not locked. The vet came in and lifted him out of the stall and told me to load him and take him home. He trotted to the trailer! He hasn't trotted since maybe September! I cried! What a blessing this is to my boy! He will spend a couple days in the trailer on stall rest, it is the one place I can make sure is lice free until I get a chance to spray all my run in's and stalls. The vet really wasn't clear after two days what we can do, but I assume some light walking for a week or so and then off to the races! He is re learning to walk. It will take some time, but I am so happy for Shadow. Now I can look for a new home for him!
Thanks to all!
