Whinny For Me's First 2009 Foal Is Here!!!

We will get better pictures later, but here is Sweetie and Destiny's baby girl, WFM's Echos of Sweet Perfection, a/k/a "Piper". She is nursing well and frisky! She was born around 5am this morning, Monday, January 26. Sweetie is a first time mother, doing well and being a very, very good mom

Piper is Destiny's first foal but more are due here and in Arkansas with Erica Killion this year

Destiny (Erica's Echos of My Destiny (HOF)) is a 33" 2004 grandson of both Alvadars Double Destiny and Little Kings Buck Echo. He's a National Champion (halter), National Grand Champion (driving) and Hall of Fame (halter) horse

Sweetie (Erica's Sweet as Sugar) is a 30" 2004 granddaughter of Ima Boones Little Buckeroo Too and paternal sibling to many National Champions (yadda yadda yadda... I'm just a little bit proud of Destiny, Sweetie and now Piper!)

Congrats on your gorgeous filly. I have another month before my mares start foaling. Have one due around March 5, though she is a maiden so who knows if she'll foal in March or February but she is awefully grumpy. Her and one of my other mares who has had 2 foals already get in a kicking match when I feed hay, only started doing this the past 2 weeks. They are due around the same time, other mare is due March 15. Neither has a udder yet but will be put in the barn come February 1st. Stalls are all ready for them.

I am jealous, it is way too cold up here to even have mares come into heat till March or usually April. So, no foals till end of March beginning of April.
