Well done everyone! Sincere congratulations on all of the family achievements!

Love reading about your future facility, makes the world a bit kinder and gentler.

Looking forward to hearing more in the future about your facility and your wife’s PhD program! Lots of hard work ahead for everyone but richly satisfying as well!

So our ferrier is also an archeologist who has dug all over the US and Central/South America. While we dig for utilities, footers and slabs we are looking for artifacts. Today we found a fire pit from about 500AD, a spring fed river and some flakes and arrow heads from about 2500BC. Not far from us numerous canoes from as far back as 5000BC under the lake. This is making the stress worth it!

The best thing I have used for a feed room in a 6x12 enclosed trailer. The front half is feed, tack and medical supplies and the back half is hay. I just hook it up,go to the feed store and have them load it. When I rotate pastures I just move the trailer close to the gate. The trailer is 1/2 the price of a shed and in a lot of states no tag. Also if I really need a trailer I have it for oter things.

It's been a busy few weeks!
After months of paperwork and negotiations we finally received our Agricultural zoning and exemption! We have a verbal agreement (waiting on paperwork from attorney) to purchase an additional 2.8 acres that was part of the original property but divided off in 1894 and the county assigned a new address for the farm to make it easier to keep the house and farm separate.

That's wonderful

As HersheyMint states, that is wonderful! Exciting work you have been doing and possibly “reattaching “ part of the original homestead is special!
