Hmm, so maybe I'll try a feeder. I think maybe they just don't like to eat what's touching the ground : Can anyone give me ideas for easy to build or bargin hay feeders?

My 2 mini's aren't eating as much hay as I thought they would and seem to be wasting quite a lot of it. I have been throwing out 2 flakes (1 for each) of coastal hay twice a day and there is always a lot of it left over. Should I cut the down to 1/2 a flake each twice a day. Is that enough?

I have noticed that since I've started feeding my mini's hay their poop has changed. When there was grass their poop was dark and a little on the hard side, however, wince both them had the same poop I thought it to be normal. Now, since the grass has died and they have been on coastal hay...
