She is registered as a red roan

Is she a roan?

Thanks in advance

Becky

Well, to me, she looks to be more of an "appy roan" because she is showing it in her face and also has that strip running down the nose bone like appys often do, and the roan on her back and rump also resemble that of an appy. Does she have appy background at all? Knowing what her parents look like would help. Can you post pics of them too?

In spite of the solid legs I would still sat Sabino not true Roan.

You need a parent who was Roan to get a Roan- what are her parents???

I don't see any Appy characteristics, striped hooves, mottling, etc. So I don't think Appy is at work here. I also don't think she's a true red Roan. Best guess would be a Chestnut Sabino.

I have a time with the colors. Her dam is a sorrel pinto with roaning on her sides...her sire is Bar B King Buckeroo...a line bred Buckeroo son....and he is buckskin.

Is there any color testing I could have done...to be able to find out for sure?

Thanks

I know it doesn't look typical but her dam having the roaning on the sides makes me wonder if it might be rabicano at work.
