A sad and harsh reality - even though this was not an emergency team traveling to or with a patient, it's sad when people are killed risking their lives for the benefit of other people. Thoughts and prayers to the families of these heros!

I couldn't agree with you more Adam. It really made me think when I read about the accident, since my daughter who is a 4th year med student at UF, was recently part of a team that flew from Gainsville Shands to Miami to harvest a heart for transplant. We all should be thankful of those, like you, that risk their lives to save ours.

Adam, you are correct, we always take our emergency personnel (fire, police, air medic etc) for granted, and it is times like this that we do not tell them often enough how much we thank them for the dedication to a job with long hours, high risk and very little reward except for the pride in the job they do.

My prayers to the families of those lost and my thanks to you and your fellow flyers who are there when we need you the most.
