Might be a dumb question, but can a youth show their horse in a futurity if they nominate it and everything? I am planning on nominating a two year old of mine for the hunter futurity but just had a thought to as if I could even show him. Thanks in advance to any replies!

A youth can show the horse in the Futurity as long as the youth is otherwise qualified to show the horse. The youth can't show the horse if it's a stallion, unless the youth is at least 13 yrs old. Also, the hunter futurity is for horses 3 yrs old; I just wanted to make sure you know that.

Thanks a bunch! I am nomating my two year old gelding for next year. Just wanted to do it now while it's not as expensive. Thanks again for the info!

Good idea! Good luck and maybe I'll see you at the shows
