This mare has had atleast 6 foals in her breeding history. The last 2 she had here were both colts and she delivered pretty close to due date. Last year she was just huge, delivered a palomino colt a day or so before due date. This year I bred her to a different stallion. She is visable pregnant but not near what she was last year. I have been checking her once and a while. She has had a bag for atleast 2 weeks. Not huge but her teats do seem puffed and are facing down.
Do you notice that some horses birth early with different sex foals. Like will go early with filly, later with colts?
Also has anyone noticed that such a huge size difference in mares when bred to different stallions. Last years baby was big, mature should be about 33 inches. You could see pregnancy from every directions. If looking at her this year from the front she isn't even close to wide.
Hopfully I haven't confused you, as I think I have myself.
