Gelding "regrowth"

With our mules, we have the males (johns) gelded before they are 3 months old. The first one we had, I watched the vet geld him and SAW him remove 2 nuggets. Done deal......

This boy is very dominant. He does chase the girls and gets "ready". I was noticing today that he seems to have a package where there shouldn't BE a package. I know for a fact both were removed. I did "feel up" the poor boy and there is something in there.

Anybody ever had anything like this? Do I have to geld him again? I've never seen this before. The other john, now 2 doesn't act anything like his brother.

Yes, I have seen this. My friend got his 1 1/2 yr old paint stud colt gelding and BOTH were removed as well. A few months later it appeared that he also had a "package" we called the vet and he came out and said it was just scar tissue or something to that affet in within severl months it had disappeared.
