CHURCHILL
As some folks may know, David has a high-functioning form of autism called Aspergers Syndrome. It seems the teen years might be sneaking up on him and just "had a feeling" he needed a constant companion.....living out in the country. Churchill came home on Sunday.
As we were leaving school today, David's teacher said this has been his BEST WEEK EVER.....very calm, stress free!
Interestingly, when he was four and still not talking, we bought a St. Bernard in hopes that "fuzzy therapy" would take its course. Within 1-1/2 months, David was talking in perfect sentences!
P.S. - David is fixated on World War II history and its airplanes, guess that's why he named his puppy Churchill.......hear that Fizz!
