I posted about this earlier, but I don't see the post anywhere...it must have gotten lost in cyberspace.
I am always looking for good things to do, but don't have a lot of time, and not as much money to donate to good causes as I would like. I thought others might be in the same boat, so I wanted to share a website I found for an organization called Kiva. www.kiva.org. It's a non-profit organization that allows individuals to make loans via paypal to people in developing countries in order to help them start a small business or grow the one they already have, with hopes that this will help lift them and their families out of poverty.
It seems to me to be a great way to make a big difference without needing to spend a lot of time or money. You can loan as little as $25, and even choose who it goes to. And you get repaid in 6-12 months, depending on the project you choose to lend to.
