I've been told that my resume does not reflect my skills. I'm doing temp jobs and the last employer said she had no idea how talented I was even though she'd read my resume.
Basically I've been under-employed and my employers were more than willing to take advantage of my abilities by giving me increasingly technical assignments and responsibilities. This made me happy because I got to do fun things and was able to learn something new each and every day. And I got to be creative and technical all at the same time.
Now I want to apply for a job that *needs* to see my actual skills. It's at the place where I just left the temporary assignment. They extended my stay for a month because I was so good. I got presents and cards when I left. All the middle managers were telling me that they wished they could keep me on. The big boss gave me a thank you card when I left-- on top of the dish garden she gave me after the big conference I helped with.
Soooo they already know I'd make a good fit, but the hiring people may not understand everything I'm capable of. I think I've got the wording down right, but how can I arrange my resume better? I've modified it so my skills are listed first...
Any experts wanna help?
