Received spam mail today from both Christian Mingle, and J Date. Guess that about covers all the bases, huh?

My coffee maker and my toaster both committed suicide this week. I've got the electric can opener in therapy just to prevent any more untimely deaths.

First my daughter drives up here from Texas with her boyfrirend to visit. Now my son and his girlfriend are coming. Um....do I have an incurable disease and no one is telling me? If not, I'm a lucky woman.

I am SO over winter. Last year at this time I had my veggie garden completely planted. This year I've still got some snow on the ground. Come on Spring.

Yesterday all my boys got their yearly shots. Last night when I brought them all in, their necks were sore and no one would raise their head to look at me. I've never seen so much rolling eyeballs! They would just roll their eyes to look at me. I took pity on them and put their hay on the ground so they wouldn't have to raise their heads to get to the hay feeder.

Poor boys! We have one mare, Khaki, and she is ALWAYS sore after any vaccination, no matter where we give it... We usually give them the shots in the butt, but she's sore after no matter. H has put her up in the past when he hasn't known I did shots because he thought she was "sick". No matter the brand, she always is feeling bad afterwards for a few days.

Yesterday I gave our dog a bath...which meant I then had to wash about a dozen towels and clean the bathroom, top to bottom. She's large and very hairy and loves to shake the water off.

We have wild onions in our pastures. The other day the horses came in and they had all been rolling in the onions. Made me want Chinese food for dinner. LOL

We bought a footstool yesterday, looks like a buffalo. Don't you know, our big dog thinks that darn thing is real. She hasn't stopped barking at it (from across the room or from behind our legs.) Sigh. Right now it is hidden in the guest room.

Getting all packed to go see my mother-in-law in Pennsylvania. I think the weather is going to cooperate. And, I personally plan on stopping at every antique shop between here and there.

I stayed in my jammies all day. Went out to do chores with my warm clothes on over jammies, then went right back to bed.

Just pulled two loaves of Amish Friendship bread out of the oven. Lucky for us we have no friends and get to eat it all!!!

No more mini horses for me. Sigh. We sold our farm in August 2015 and downsized due to hubby being ill. We now have a smaller place that doesn't need mowing on a tractor. (In fact, I have a yard man, so I don't even have to mow any more)

I still have my little long haired Chihuahua (aka "the queen") and I missed having animals so much I went out and got a canary. Tweety is a real interesting little guy and I really enjoy hearing him sing. In fact, when I contacted the breeder, all I asked for was a bird who would sing. Be careful what you ask for, because you just might get it. LOL When he gets going, he can be quite loud.

We live a very quiet life now, just the two of us. I have suspended hubby's driving privileges, so we don't travel much as I have to do all the driving.

I miss my farm, my friends, my church and am having a difficult time trying to find my way.

We'll see what the future has in store for us.

(May 2017) The future is here, and it isn't pretty. Hubby was just diagnosed with dementia. It's really stressful for me. Not so much for him (duh).
