Hi
default_smile.png

I have a quick question about Registering my weanling filly with AMHA.

I leased her dam however only with an Australian Miniature Horse Registry (MHAA)

so the foal was not on an AMHA stallion return and the mare was not in our name (with AMHA) when she foaled.

The stallion and mare are both registered with AMHA and they are both DNA'd, so if I get the foal DNA'd will I then be able to register her with AMHA?

Thanks so much for any help

You will need a late stallion report from the stallion owner, if you own the mare but just didn't transfer her then you need to do that to show you were the owner of the mare at the time of foaling, in that case you will need a breeders certificate from the stallion owner. If you did not own the mare when she foaled then you will need the breeder to do an application for registration and a transfer. You will have to DNA the foal since the mare was not on the original stallion report.
