AMHA membership/stud book confusion

I just purchased my AMHA membership and will be sending in 2 transfers as soon as I get confirmation on the membership. My question is now that I will be a member, can I look up horses in the stud book or is that a totally different membership? I was wanting to do some research on my 2 minis pedigree's and to see if my mare has ever foaled before.

Membership and Studbook subscription are two different things with different fees. If you need anything looked up though, several people can do that for you and send you information, including me.

Awesome, Thank you guys. My mare is AMHA Harmony Acres Chantilly Lace A155363 I have been unable to go back farther on her pedigree than what is listed on her papers, I added her to Allbreedpedigree.com thinking it would go back farther but no luck. I would like to know any info on her such as has she had any foals or been shown etc....She is 9 years old and is registered as grey with white mane & tail but she is in fact Silver Dapple with flaxen mane & tail, her pictures match on the papers so I know it is her. I bought her from a man who bought her as a pet for his kids and he could tell me nothing about her. They had only owned her a year and never transferred her to their name. As soon as I get confirmation of my membership, I will be sending in transfers on her and my 2 yr old Stallion I also purchased from same man.

Your stallion has so many "well-knowns" in his pedigree. I don't think I've every seen such a mix of some of the well-known in one horse's pedigree. And he's a Falabella Blend to boot! With 3 crosses to Chianti and a cross to HNFS SENIOR, there's Falabella in the mix! And I think I saw at least 2 crosses to Rowdy, as well as the Van't Huttenest horses,including Orion -- this boy has some wonderful breeding in there!

Awesome! I sure wish I knew about the bloodlines and such but I will learn! I am so excited to have these guys and this little stallion is so beautiful, there was a whole barn full and this one just stood out with his chocolate color I just had to have him! He was the only one not for sale! lol
