Does anyone know if the silver gene, now that there is a test for it and can be proven, is allowed when we register our foals or do a color correction?
Does it show up on the studbooks?
It has always been amazing to me that one of the most unique aspects of our miniature horses is their amazing variety of colors and especially the silver gene which occurs in only a few breeds has not been recognized by the registries on paper.
If it is not, could someone from the two registries explain why it is not allowed ?
Thank you.
