    Littlest Guy won't shed....

Hi Linda, As the breeder and former owner of "Cisco", who is all of 28" tall--I can tell you he never has shed out easy (neither did his dam). I always had to clip him in the spring when it finally warmed up, although this year I'm beginning to wonder about the weather. Does he still get...

    Protein Losing Enteropathy

I am the previous owner of this mare. I was very clear that the protein loosing enteropathy was due to an allergic reaction to fenbendazole (SafeGuard). I am a people doctor, not a vet, so yes, I have alot of medical knowledge. You will find very little info on this problem. Both my vet and...

Has anyone else had a blind foal

We had a filly born blind. No good explanation other than she was truely overdue (I believe she was born at 367 days). She is now a 2 year old and you would never know she had a problem. She does seem to have limited vision--but its not very good. She did very well once she got to know where...

    QUEST

My vet refuses to use Quest on any size horse. That being said--I did have a filly I bought as a yearling and after worming her with panacur became very ill. She was diagnosed with protein loosing enteropathy and the vets feel it was caused by damage from worms being killed off from the...

How hard is it to find an all white horse

We had a white filly this year. She is a maximum expresion sabino. She has pink skin and blue eyes. She has a tiny spot of color inside her right ear. There is no known appy breeding in her bloodlines. She's a cutie but likes to roll in the mud (LOL) --RachelJ www.jbarcminis.com

    Wormer Overdose

This is a frequent problem with the rings on those tubes. luckily ivermectin is very safe. Just to be sure, check with your vet but I've accidently done the same thing (as most of us have) and never had any reaction--just a well-wormed horse. LOL
