I know a stallion's testicals don't always drop at the same age and I have heard mini's can take longer than large horses.

Is this true that mini's can take longer to drop both testies ?

At what age would you consider that a stallion just may never drop the other testicle and would be considered crypt ?

2, 3, 4 yrs ?

I have also been told that if it takes too long for the one to drop it will basically atrophy and render the stallion sterile ... Is this true ?

When the inguinal rings are confirmed closed that is when a stallion is confirmed a crypt.

No, they are not always sterile and will continue to behave like a stallion.

Thank you for your response ...

At what age does the ring typically close ?
