What's acceptable for a bite?

Hi, I know that when showing/breeding it is obviously best to have a perfect bite. However most people say that their horses have good bites even if they are out a little. These horses often gone on and do well in the worlds. Does anyone know what is considered as an acceptable bite? Your help would be much appreciated.

For showing, a horse can't have a bite any more than a half tooth off. Many folks would probably think that even that is too much of an off bite.
