what do you use in halter class

Hey Im gonna be showing Elegance this year in halter, maybe showman ship, liberty, halter obstical and jumping

what all do you use in the show ring to get them to perk up??

also does anyone know of any links that can help me teach her the other classes im thinking about doing

Ellie loves to jump just not me running next to her and then jumping. dont know what i should do

any advice would be great

It varies by horse

Some will alert to green grass - take a bunch and wrap it with electrical tape, and trim off straggly ends so it doesn't show so much in the class.

Others like peppermint, so I will give them peppermint treats at home, making sure to crinkle and crackle the wrapper a lot. Then I give them one before going into the ring, and just use the paper.

Or we use grain or horse treats - - but that can end up with a lot of chewing.

ya i was thinking of using something like smashed peperments and keeping the bag in my pocket or something like that.
