My daughter made this afghan for me while she was at college. I chose the colors and the yarn (Homespun) and she insisted I choose the pattern. I insisted she decide which colors went where and the width of the design. She just finished her first year with a 3.75 and a 3.86. She's a Bio major. She's transferring to a hard to get into school next year and will major in Bio/Chem. Her minor will be music or philosophy. We're kinda proud.
(My son made Dean's list both semesters too.

Next are some table runners. If you're interested in the pattern, it's free on a site somewhere. Let me know if you want me to post the link. They're not quilted yet. I'm practicing free motion machine quilting before I start them. These are part of a stock piling I'm starting for a major craft sale in November. My daughter will be crocheting/knitting items too.
All this fabric is leftover from a quilt I made--the toughest one ever. But I love it. My quilter offered me $800 for the quilt. I didn't sell.
This is a wall hanging I just finished. I need more small items for the sale. It's made with batiks I've been saving. It was tricky to find a pattern I thought they'd work with. The pattern called for 3 different fabrics, but I scrapped the 3rd to fit more in. I call it tranquility.
I'll make more of these.
This is one of the four squares. Sure looks strange--not like it'd make anything special.
Close up so you can see these gorgeous colors.
I just finished this today! Well--the quilting part. I'm so pelased with how it came out. Kennedy will get it as soon as the binding and hanging sleeve are sewed on.
I copied what the quilter did on my barn quilt.
Planks on the barn--shingles on the roof--around the trees, and free motioned the rest. I've been practicing free motion a LOT.
I can't wait to give it to Kennedy.
