I recieved this and thought it worthy of passing on. Laughs.

LET THIS BE A LESSON
Have you ever been guilty of looking at others your own age and thinking, "Surely I can't look that old?" Well ... You'll love this tale from a woman!!

I was sitting in the waiting room for my first appointment with a new dentist. I noticed his DDS diploma, which bore his full name. Suddenly, I remembered a tall, handsome, dark-haired boy with the same name had been in my high school class nearly 40 years ago. Could he be the same guy that I had a secret crush on, way back then?

Upon seeing him, however, I quickly discarded any such thought. This balding, grey-haired man with the deeply lined face was way too old to have been my classmate.

After he examined my teeth, I asked him if he had attended Morgan Park High School.

"Yes. Yes, I did. I'm a mustang," he gleam ed with pride.

"When did you graduate?" I asked.

He answered, "In 1968. Why do you ask?"

"You were in my class!" I exclaimed.

He looked at me closely. Then, that ugly, old, wrinkled, bald, fat, grey, decrepit son-of-a-$!#*& asked, "What did you teach?

 :aktion033: :new_shocked:

I love it --- been there -- done that too -- and it was wayyy tooo funny!

That was super funny. Love it. :aktion033: :aktion033: :aktion033: Thanks.. Love the last line.

Reminds me in 1995 my husbands class had a reunion (his was 50 years) with anyone who had actually gone to Loyal High School in Loyal Wisconsin. I asked him if he wanted to go because it is 100 miles from our home. His reply "Why would I want to go and be with all those old people"? Needless to say we went and had a wonderful time. Stayed overnight and had breakfast the next morning with the whole gang and returned home. He found out those old people were SURPRISE, SURPRISE the same age as he was. How wierd. We've always laughed at that one.

Another, I still rather think of myself as middle aged. Imagine my shock when one day I looked at my boys (age 42 & 45) and it dawmed on me "Good lord it's not me who is middle aged it is you guys." I'm still shocked :new_shocked: :new_shocked:
