Once this snow and slush clears up Im going to be doing road work with my mini. There are some nice steady hills up where I live and hardly any traffic. I have taken him out on the road and just walked him in halter. I want to drive him on the road in may sometime. I will be working on linedriving him on the road before we hook up. I was wondering if I should put a type of boot on him so he doesnt slip and slide on the pavement. We would be doing mostly walking, but I worry on the hills. Does anyone have any suggestions for boots of sometype? He's a 36" gelding with pony style feet.

Thank you ^_^

Here is a link to some boots that I love by easyboot

The regular ones do not stay on well and are hard to fit but

I have now 1 pair of old mac, 1 pair of old mac 2 and also

the boa and they work very well and stay on

If you do not think you really need boots then

try painting on Venice Turpentine with a 2" paint

brush about 3 times a week which will build up

a layer of protective coating on the bottom of the

soles and prevent soreness.

Lisa at Ozark also carries the Sabre Sneaker

which are popular

Here link is here

and she is very helpful

If that doesn't work for you then try the boots

Best wishes

Im not worried when Im walking him in halter, or line driving him. Its when we hook up Im afraid he'll slip.
