Hi all,

I am a noob to the site but have been showing miniature ponies and horses for a couple of years now. I have recently purchased a 4yo miniature horse mare and she has just recently been clipped. The show season is looming and I am desperate to tame her mane and make it like it should be. I have been combing and treating it every day but she just has so much! I haven't clipped her bridle path yet but any ideas how I can transform this manic mane into the sleek and smooth mane that mini horses should have? She is every bit a miniature horse but her mane makes her look more pony type. Help please!

Braiding has worked for me. Also, you might try the straightening irons for people. That can help. It isn't permanent, but when you need a nice look temporarily, it is very effective.

You know about clipping underneath the mane, I'm sure, to reduce the width.
