Our mini foal is 6 days old. We've been spending time with him every day. When we get in the pen he comes right up to us to get scratched......until today! Now he doesn't want us to touch him!? We get hold of him anyway and rub,lightly scratch and talk in soft tones. Still scared. Is this normal?

I would say perfectly normal. I have them go back and forth like that until they are weaned.

Of our 2 foals this year at 3 weeks one is already in your pocket at 2 weeks the other one is spookey and just doesn't want to be touched.But she gets held and handled every day morning and night. Some just take longer.
