San Francisco area

Anyone live there, or been there recently? Looking for vacation recommendations... ready to go somewhere cooler than Texas for a few days! I've been once, many many years ago, but am just taking potluck on where to stay, etc. We are not looking for nightlife lol, just want to see the city and probably drive up the coast a bit too.

I have found it to be very helpful. And this will sound strange but weddingwire.com also. My brother-in-law got married at a fancy winery garden in the San Fran area just last month. All of their info was on weddingwire and it gave ideas of things to do and places to go while in the area. Heck, book you a honeymoon!
