The only acronym I've heard in relation to stroke patients is F.A.S.T. -
F(ace) - ask the person to smile. Is there a facial droop on one side.
A(rms) - ask the person to hold their arms out. A person having a stroke may not be able to hold them out evenly
S(peech) - ask the person to speak a simple sentence. I use "It snows in Minnesota in the winter". If there is any slurred speech (they almost sound intoxicated), it's an indicator.
T(ime) - if any of the above are happening, time is important. Call 911 and get them to a stroke center immediately.
