Sounds like a couple of kids need a good ol' fashion spankin'. Find someone who has the nastiest, meanest, mini around and let them have that. Maybe when the mini kicked the crap out of them a time or two they would have a little more respect around animals and settle down with the loud mouths too. Someone needs to kick their little buts. They obviously have no respect and no hearing since they do exactly what they are told not to so someone needs to put them in their place. Would not fly around my place. My kids push the limit some, but ask them if they would go to someones house and act like that. Thankfully my kids spend time at the neighbors house mostly, with their little friend over there and I have a great neighbor who will not put up with their crud if they get out of line either. She has not hesitated to wash their mouths out with soap when needed. Worst case scenario, they get sent home to deal with me or their dad. They know a lot about moving rocks, scooping poop, sitting in a corner...you name it and I am sure they are well qualified in it. Just have your cousin send her kids to my house for a month. After they rotated through the neighborhood doing work for everyone and being eyeball deep in minis for awhile they may change their mind and their attitude.

Hahahahaha, Jen, and when they are done at your house and the neighbors, send them my way. All our farms will be sparkling clean and tidy and the kids will return home with a whole differnent attitude, and one that probably would NOT include taking a Mini home, hahaha

Hahahah, one of my mares and the cutest one doesn't like kids at all. She gets her ears backher eyes get small when she hears even children voices only, runs to her feeder to protect her hay and kicks.

Someone wonna lease her ? Hahahah

You guys sure do know how to lighten someone's mood. I agree though. My mom raised both my brother and I up to be very respectful of others. We hardly got punished because we already knew if we got out of hand, we were really in for it. Too bad these two little girls haven't been raised that way! And some parents wonder why they aren't invited to other people's homes a second time.

Lucky for me, my brother allowed his friend to mess with the laptop, and he ended up frying some stuff on here. I have had to reboot some stuff, and redo my passowrds, but it has also given me an excuse not to respond back to my cousin just yet.

I think every one here has given you very good advice on what to tell the girls paernts. I love what bonnie said about the lice

Now if someone I knew no matter how well brought their kids to my home and I told them to be gentle with my geniua pig (don't have a horse  ) and they started to be rough with her ir scare her in any way, I would get a hold of the coller of their shirts pull them close to me kneel down and give them a stren but not yelling talking to about respect and that I love my little scruffy sooooooo much that is she gets hurt or sick because someone scared her I would have to search the world for that person til they were dead. Thats in hope that it mighr scare the message into their heads so when they come over from then on they behave themselves. And if their mom was watching and knew that the kids were breaking the rules I set for her kids and did nothing she would get asked to leave my home and not come back. In our home (more like a room but it's home to me

) my b/f me set the rules and we are strict with them. I can buy achool in a few months and all my friends think they will be able to come over and drink underage, But we don't think so. When they come over we will not have a drink infront of them out of respect, but in no way is anyone underage drinking in our home.....who knows what could happen when they leave and we would be libale for it, And so would you if your horse got scared and injured one of those little girls.

This almost always works for me. Tell them that auction minis have diseases that their kids can catch and they have lice that can infest their kids hair.

:risa_suelos: GREAT IDEA, BONNIE !

99% of visiting children are gentle/loving. "Safety" rules are firmly established.

Clueless parents, due to their child's abusive behavior, are collectively treated with an immediate escort away from the horses.

Then, if they DON'T GET IT.....introduce them to Anita's sassy mare.
