Odd Palomino Color???

No my mare is a chestnut Ive seen a silver day and she shore aint one... I thank I have pics of mares and foals together....

First pic is of chestnut foal and sliver colored foal, second and third pics are of the grullo foal by my dunalino stallion,fourth pic is of my black mare and that chestnut mare, pics 5-9 are of the chestnut mare, last pics are of that black mare and her 2013 foal which we havnt figured her color out either (also by my dunalino).....

No reason at all why the mare has to be Silver |Bay and she shows no sign of darl points, either. Red hides Silver- therefore Silver foal!

well my chestnut mares sire is a solid bright red chesnut...

These two were both genetically tested as palominos. Their coloring is fairly similar to your boy. And, as was already mentioned, red "hides" silver so your fellow could just be a carrier.

but doesn't explain the red dun foal by my boy or the grullo filly by my boy and out of a black mare?

No idea why this is so big, sorry, photobucket has altered it's format...AGAIN!!! Anyhoo- this is a Dunalino!! You really cannot tell just by looking at them, they look just like any other Palomino, but they carry Dun and if you look for it you can often find the dorsal line, which will be a darker version of their coat colour.

Your boy is a Dunalino, which does explain the Red Dun and the Black Dun foals, perfectly......

The red run foal proves he is a dunalino. Based on these pictures, I don't think your "grullo" foal is grullo at all, but it could just be the lighting or my phone. I don't see it. And the last foal is either black or smokey black.
