I'm so disappointed!

Even though the NWMHC Schooling Show was a non-rated schooling show, this has always been my favorite show -- or at least it was right up there with the Oregon State Fair until they dropped AMHR.

Not being AMHA and therefore not a NWMHC member, I had no idea this show, like every other show open to AMHR, was slated to be cut.

The clinic with Portia sounds great, but it appears to be just for AMHA.

Sadly it sucks to be AMHR only in Oregon these days, unless you have the money and time to travel to the Washington shows. The former Oregon Gold show is our only hope, but is rather expensive and at a time of year that requires clipping.

Never mind me...I'm just pouting and whining...

Hi

I could be wrong but i think the Portia clinic just requires you to be a NWMHC club member, and is open to all horses.

The Schooling show was canceled because for some reasons the date wasnt open at the facility.

Also for those of you that want to join us I have rented the main Arena at The Mt Hood Equistrian center [which is where our schooling show is usually held]just for us MINI folks to use for driving practice, open to all sizes of minis. Just shot me an email for more info.

The Schooling Show was cut this year ONLY because their was a scheduling conflict with the arena. They gave away the date we had slated for the show and other available weekends did not work out. This show WILL be back on the schedule for 2011. In other news, the clinic with Portia Kalinka is open to all NWMHC members, irregardless of the size of their horse(s). AMHR horses will be welcome as well - you just have to be a club member. Membership forms will be available at the clinic and you may register for the clinic and join the club while there. If you wish to participate in the clinic (which will be held March 12 and 13th at Casino Gold Miniatures in Dallas, Oregon) contact Sharon Bullington at [email protected], or call 503-580-9450. We would love to have you join us. I believe more information is available at the NWMHC web site.

Also, it appears that AMHR classes may once again be held during the Oregon State Fair. I know that show dates for 2010 are showing up on the AMHR show schedule on their web site.

Hope to see many of you at the clinic.

Mark will the Or state fair be taking advantage of the new 3 point show?

Just sent an email to Sharon

I'll be taking Guiness, and trying to talk my friend into taking her Monarch son.

Thanks, Dawn and Mark.

I'm glad to know that the schooling show will be back next year, and now my hopes are up for the OSFair, too.

Dawn, that's a great idea with renting the arena for a driving night -- hopefully, we can make it over for some warm, dry driving!
