I'm leaning toward Mastiff as well, that or one of the other large, bulldog-type breeds. Mastiffs aren't that common, nor cheap, I wouldn't expect to run into even a cross-bred more than once in a blue moon. Wonder how he wound up under that bridge? Sounds like he really landed on his feet this time, though! Lucky dog!

I was thinking Chow, but I guess it could be Shar pei I am seeing instead! What about part Chesapeake?? Very cute and BIG boy!
