Welcome from SE Pa. Your boy is adorable, he looks like a miniature haflinger. I have one old style mini similar to your boy and two more refined minis. Minis are like potato chips you just can't have one. I use a leather halter that is adjustable on both the head piece and nose piece rather than the chunkier hamilton nylon halters. It works well for my guys. For my driving boy I have a halter that has a buckle noseband. Best wishes, thanks for including photos.
