New mini mare question.

So I get this mini mare. I haven't seen her out in the field running. I was told that she was gaited. She is only 2 and the daughter of the other mini I got. Anyways I get behind her and start line driving her and she has been WONDERFUL. So yesterday I took her out and ponied her behind my wonderful mare and look over. SHE PACES! How often does this happen? It baffled me. She looks like a little dark bay standardbred.

One of my geldings used to pace, found out at Nationals someone pointed out that he was moving weird and turned out he paces. He doesn't do it much anymore but every once in a while I catch him doing it. Can be nerve wracking since you don't really want them to do it at shows but I think its neat.

I actually really like it. I mean it may not be something everyone likes but, we own standardbreds as well so she fits right in. Such a little cutie! Her mother goes beautifully.
