He should be here today or tomorrow. My new silkie rooster is being shipped in to MI from SD through the mail. He is a very fine example of his breed and cost me a lot of money. BUT he hopefully will give me some darn good lookin chicks in the spring. He comes from one of the best breeders and some of the best bloodlines out there. He has been shown and won so that's a plus. I can't wait to add him to my small silkie flock.

His name is Tribble and soon as he arrives I will get more pics.

Tribble is a great name for a Silkie. Congrats on the new addition!

My friend's daughter raises silkies - they're so mellow. I was helping give ILT vaccines, and I couldn't believe how quiet they are. Of course, I'm comparing them to my Partridge Chanteclers, who are social, but not amenable to handling. There's a lot more squawking and flapping involved. ;)

Congrats on your new ADORABLE addition....

My daughter has a silkie rooster she's shown for 4-H and he's wonderful.

Unfortunately we keep him penned just outside of our bedroom window, which means he's our alarm clock every morning! LOL

Oooohhh!!! I'd love to have some of those one day. So adorable
