We've had our new girl home for 18 days now and she is such a good fit to our

herd......The Sisters were a bit miffed, at first, but have adjusted nicely.

I want to thank Jessica Matheson of Spirit Thunder in Idaho for letting her

come live with us and Mindy Schroder of LadyBug Farm in Montana for

picking her up and bringing her as far as Portland....

It saved us traveling the snowbound I-90 mess we were having a few weeks

ago....

She is so sweet natured and already feels like she's been with us forever.

Different for us to have a non red and white horse in the pasture...

Well, now you will have to go about acquiring a sister that is closer to her color so she doesn't feel left out.

She is a cutie - congrats Nancy

Thanks everyone.......I haven't measured her yet.....I'm thinking she's

about 34" maybe. She'll be 3 in May so I'll do a measure then.

Funny Stacy! You caught on to that one fast....it is weird.....

She, however, has facial markings so very similar to my late,

but very beloved old Egyptian Arab, Archers.

Funny story.??!! The day after we picked her up in Portland, we had to go

back to our old place to take care of some post flood business....Left her

in the big pasture next to the kitchen....nice and safe...left her snacks and

water........ Got home at dusk and went and hung my head over the fence

to say Hi.......No horse!!! I ran to check all the fences, no holes......

Ran out to the other pasture, my heart slamming.....even in the dusk I could

count the red and white horses...... No new horse.....till I yelled her name

and she turned around and saw her blaze........ Black horses don't glow in

the dark like red and white pintos LOL So much for quarantines....she was

lonesome and was used to being in a herd and being solo in that big pasture

evidently didn't appeal to her and she walked thru the hot wire......

Can hardly wait to body clip her as she is wearing her Idaho pajammas and

doesn't look a thing like those lovely photos Jessica had of her.

Absolutely gorgeous, Nancy!!! And her name doesn't start with a "Z" -- now what!!!! I'm very happy for you - she's a doll!
