Mares in heat....

I want to know about how long after they foal do they come back in heat? And how long before the next cycle starts? How many days in between? I have a silent mare and she doesn`t let you know when she is in heat.

Hi Tina, My mares usually cycle about 7-10 days after they foal. This is called their foal heat. All mares are a little different and could go a little less or more. After this foal heat they should have normal cycles every 21 to 28 days, again depends on your mare. Hope this helps. Joyce
