Lunging

I heard that you can lunge miniatures, some recommend it and some don't. I was just wondering what is best, and how exactly you lunge.

I lunge minis exactly the same as a big horse! From mini to draft, the technique is exactly the same. However, I think it's easier on the mini's joints because the circle can be so much larger compared to their size.

I don't lunge yearlings or younger, I start when they are two.

You can certaintly lounge a mini. I even lounge them as a yearling just to teach them to do it, certaintly not to condition them.
