I looked in the help section and couldn't find anything about how to post a picture in the text of my posts. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Also on the avitar settings where I post a picture... how can I do it where I can put say, three pictures up there and it shows them like a slide show?

Finally, on the avitar picture(s) how do I post a phrase, name, etc. to go with the picture?

Thanks to anyone that can help me. I'm still learning about how to navigate through this stuff. Just today, I finally figured out what the "avitar" is!

To post pictures in your text...

First, you need to have your picture hosted at a site that allows sharing. I like PhotoBucket.com for ease of use.

Second, to have your picture show up in your post, you need to give the "path" to it. Here is an example:

[ img ] http:// photobucket.com/ name/ number/ something.jpg [ /img ]

(no spaces!)

That is not a real path to a pic, but each pic will have a different line. The img tags tell the computer it is getting a picture, the http address tells the computer where the picture is and the end tag, /img, tells the computer that is the end of the information.

When I use photobucket to post a pic, I open a second window and go to PhotoBucket through that window, highlight the "img" address (PB.com lists three seperate addys for your pics, a URL, the IMG and another one I haven't tried to use, yet) click 'copy', then I re-open the LB page and paste the img address.

Clear as mud?
