My husband said I could get a goat if I wanted one, but absolutely no way could I get a llama.

[i think llamas are cool.]

Anyway, what's a good breed of goats to have pretty much as a pet and perhaps a weed-eater? I'm thinking I would like a nanny goat over a wether (definitely don't want a billy). Any breeds naturally polled? I would be interested in a smaller breed.

My FIL has Brush and Boer goats. The Brush goats are not large like the Boer goats are. I think the Niagerian Dwarfs are simply adroable. I would like to have one of those.

I love our goats (Nigerian Dwarf wethers)!!! They are so affectionate and playful. Here's a good site about goats, a lot like this message board actually:

Pygmy goats are cute but they are escape artists and fences do not keep them in.

Also billy goats are stinky and nasty, but whethers and nannies are good pets.
