I, too, think advertising as 'AMHA eligible' is false advertising when the sire, dam or both have revoked papers for not going perm, sire or dam is not DNA'd and the dam is not in the current owners name. If the owner of the dam is not a current AMHA member and willing to bring all paperwork up to date on the dam, then I don't see how a foal is 'AMHA eligible'. This doesn't even address whether the sire had a stallion report filed and the dam was on it.

It just pays to buy horses with papers in hand to avoid heartache later!
