From the other perspective. We currently have three horses in quarantine with E Z 2 Spot Ranch. Terry and Dianne have been great, answering all questions and keeping us in touch with everything that is going on. They were recommended by a friend here in the UK who had used them earlier this year. I have every faith that they will be well looked after whilst they are there, and we are really looking forward to seeing them when they arrive here next month ( some Christmas present huh

Thanks so much for the pictures! It would be nice to have a list of Quarantine places too! Does anyone know if they have annual inspections or what they have to do to be a Quarantine location? Would there be federal or state inspectors issuing the liscenses? Thanks! Lavonne

The inspections are to be done for each and every group of horses that are shipped. That means, if as in our case we usually ship two different groups each month, we are inspected twice in that month. Some have not been following that, and have been "caught" by the USDA. I'm not sure what will happen to them.

As to facilities, there is the one in Whitesboro, One in Decatur, though I don't think they do minis, Nedpoint in Oklahoma, and us. (EZ 2 Spot Ranch)

There is a fairly lengthy list of rules to follow, including sanitation, usable pen space, distance from other animals, etc.

Thanks, and write with any questions you or anyone else may have!

Terry

Oasis Miniature Horses in Greenville Texas is also an USDA approved quarantine station.

We are only serving Miniature Horses. We proudly give them the best care possible, to assure that they arrive at their new destination, healthy, slick and shiny.

We try to avoid shipping the horses in crates, mostly we fly them in containers, where the horses are escorted by knowledgeable horse-people, to make sure they get water and they are doing fine.

Wednesday, I'm escorting a group of weanlings on their long trip to Czech Republic....

Please contact us for further information, we would like to take care of your horses, too

Thank you for your time

Wanted to add that horses going to Hawaii can usually be shipped from No Cal to Hawaii for about 1000 bucks however that is to the big island can get more pricey from there and how weird is this...

the horses MUST be sprayed with Malithion (sp) 30 days before leaving here which usually means the seller needs to have it done before they head to be shipped out.

That was a new one on me I had not heard that before

Wow Lisa! Malathion? I thought that was a banned pesticide?????? Does anyone know? Wonder what they are trying to kill?

Charlotte

Yes it is that is what I said to I was SHOCKED but spoke to the person in the No Cal end that puts them on the boat and she confirmed that yes that must be done something new as of this year

Trust me I know.... I had no idea never even heard of such a thing and the horse had to be done (wasnt my horse) at the lady who sends them to the boat and she was BENT it wasnt done before hand not sure what they are spraying for
