Daily Wormers

I am currently using a daily wormer called Continuex on my three minis. Does this work as well as the tubes you give every 6 weeks or so? If so, do I need to switch to another brand after they finish with the Continuex so they don't build immunity from it.

I would greatly appreciate your comments. Still learning.

Not familiar with that one. We use Strongid C. Horses do not develop an immunity to it since it isn't absorbed by the horse. It is a contact killer and flushes thru the system.

It does not kill bots so we still hit them with Zimectrin every 3-4 months.

Just looked it up and it appears to be essentially the same as Strongid C. Pyrantal Tartrate

We also use Strongid C daily but as was mentioned you still have to use a paste three times a year.

We use the Strongid C every day, but it's just for the pinworms I think. It does not take the place of the 6-8 week tube wormers, though. They still need those.
