I will soon be registering our only colt from 2007

I am thinking that Dusty is Chestnut.

But he seems to be getting lighter in color.

His Mom is Palomino, shown below.

His dad is a Silver Dapple ( and is Ee )

So I was just wondering what you all think.... is he most likely Chestnut?

Here he is at 1 day old

This is him, now (at 4 months)

I sure appreciate any thoughts you may have.

We have a colt who was similarly colored at birth and four months. When I cipped him at 6 mos. he was a silver dapple underneath. Now he is getting lighter and lighter, almost white.

Id say your cutie is chestnut, also!

Isnt it true that foals can change many times before they shed out to their true color? This may be one of those times. He sure is cute!

Are you sure the dam is palomino? What colors are her parents, and has she been tested to carry the creme gene?
