I am trying to figure out the color of this 3 month old filly..is she black??? here is her before and after...also,her tail is just getting whiter..do you think that might be a "spot"...or am I just delusional

She looks black to me, possibly dark bay, and I'd attribute the tail to tobiano.

Yes her color is black.

But I also think your filly is tobiano, her tail looks very white so I think she likely has a pinto spot on her tail.

her mother is sabino.....I would love to see a picture of your colt

Well If her mother is sabino I would say thats for sure what she is....

It explains the "white" tail too...Here is my boy before and after clipping

His sire is a Black Sabino with white markings a lot like your filly and his dam is a really dark brown almost black.

In this one he looks more greyish because he was freshly clipped. But he darkens out to be the same as your girl....I wish I had more recent pics to show you.

His tail is really really light...a creamy colour.

Also I just wanted to add.... Does she have a sort of darker shading running down the middle of her tail? I think I can see it in the first pic of her running....

My boy also has this, Here is a pic that shows it well

It has however gotten lighter with age.

I don't know what color she is but the combination is very striking.
