I have been thinking of getting a new camera. I would love to take pictures of the wildlife I see while out kayaking but my current camera is not good with the zoom. I am looking for suggestions.

I am camera dumb. It needs to be small to fit in my dry bag, easy to use, ZOOM. Digital is great since I never remember to buy film or develop it. Cost is always an issue but I want ZOOM and I know you get what you pay for.

What camera do you love that can zoom in on things?

Canon SX10 IS.

It's one of the new "super zoom" cameras out. It has a 20X zoom and it's a fantastic camera, I just LOVE mine.

It is a larger camera though, more like an DSLR. It takes great photos, but then again, I took the time to really learn how to take better photos.
