Just wanted to start off by saying I have realized now that my bobdy hates me and is out to ge me

: After this summer's problem, I thought maybe just maybe I would be alright for a while.. Wrong. About two weeks ago I woke up to find my hands were numb, They just felt like they fell asleep and would not wake up. About an hr after being up, it got better. So I just let it go. Then two days later(when I got up to go to work) they were numb again.. Ever try to put contacts in while your hands were sleeping

: Not an easy task. Then off and on I would get goose bumps just on my right arm. Then I started getting a little freaked over that one. So then a week ago Sunday, I woke up to go to work(I am a pt grill cook for a rest, working breakfest.) and I had to play try to get they eyes in again. My hands were numb.. Worked until 1:00 and did my daily routine. Did evening horsey chores, took my three one by one for a walk down the newly combined soy bean field, just enjoying my mini's. I was home alone as the kids were with hubby mowing a lawn. Then bam, around 10:00 that night severe pain in the right shoulder, uncontrolled shaking in my right arm and my hand swelled up. Hubby took one look at me and said" What in the *ell now??" I was scared, never had anything like it before. He demanded me to get on the phone and call someone to get me to the ER and he would stay home with the kids. The only one available was the Brother in law from nightmare on Elm St.. :smileypuke: So this tells you how desperate I was, he came to the house and off to the ER we were.. 4 hrs later and just an xray, the ER Dr. sent me home saying it was a "Bad Sprain".. I've had them before, never did it cause a part of the body to shake uncontrollably..

Get home, Hubby is still up, worried because I was alone with "Frankinstien"(MY B I L nickname from my son) He says, I am no dr but that is no sprain. So after the kids went to school off to my family drs we were. Hubby was making me go there too.. I am right handed, so he had to sign me in at the dr. office. To tell you how many times I've been there with all my problems and my sons(we go to the same pratice) They didn't even know my hubby. The front desk lady said you mucst have done a good one for hubby to fall out of the wood work. My dr. made the remark, so there really is a husband.. Back to the problem. From when I was passing our he pulled my MRI of my head and neck, and found that they overlooked that in July I had three buldging dics in my neck. Still amazes me how they missed that one. So he put me on pain meds, muscle relax., and an anti inflamit.. med and rescheduled me for an MRI on Frid.. Then did blood work. After 3 colasped veins I was ready to knock out that nurse, but the 4 th time was a charm, thank goodness..

Meds gave no relief, and I had to go back today for my results on everything.. I also had an am appt for the wonderful yearly female check-up which was a total waste. I waited 1 1/2hrs in the waiting room, and my cell rings.. School, What now??? Faith is in the nurses office with a temp of 102.. :new_shocked: She had the "P" word after only being in school for a month. Just got over that and now she is sick again. So I had to canceal my appt., and drive like a speed demon from Greenville, Pa to Linesville to pick her up. Normally a 45 min trip, today, only 20 mins..Driving with my palms, because of numb hands.. So get her home, my sister came home from work at 3:00 and came and sat with the kids for me to find out what is wrong.(Hubby pulled a double today)

So i get to the drs, driving with my palms, still. Waited another 1 1 /12, with a sick kid at home, to find out that they didn't find anything yet. The MRI shows the buldging discs, but they aren't hitting any nerves from what they can tell. All of my blood work was fine,, except my carbon dioxide level is low?? Never heard of that one

: So now he put me on percocets, and I got for another MRI on Frid for my shoulders..

My sym's are still: goose bumps out of the blue on one arm, pain and numbness on both hands and arms. I can't really hold anything, and it has taking a VERY LOONG TIMe to type this. Pain in my upper back like I got beat with a baseball bat, and swelling. Anyone have any idea what this could be or anyone heard of anything like this?? My whole life has been really altered as I can't do much with my hands like this. Oh, and sometimes they are hot, sometimes they are cold.. I am just very worried, and am affraid that with them taking so long to get these MRI's done, that by the time they find out what it is it will be permament..

Any suggstions, I am open for. And NONE of the meds work.

Also if you don't mind, say a little prayer for Faith. School and all the illness really takes it a toll on her..

Hubby says I just need a new body. He hasn't been to supportive, neither has Jamie. They both have they same additude, she has something wrong, again.. Like I told Jamie, it isn't like I go to bed each night praying to God to have something wrong with me again.. It is really getting to me, and I have been letting it bother me so much that my panic attacks have come back.. I just want a normal life, but I guess since I've never really had one, I won't get one..

I think I'd go to a neurologist....get to a doc that really works with nerves and numbness...don't let the regular medical doctors leave you hanging on meds and saying you pulled something.

I have no idea what's going on with you...but with my sisters experience over the past 10yrs.....she had Gillion Barre Syndrome (after you've had a cold/flu....immune system turns on your body and eats the coverings off your nerves, then communication from your brain to move a hand...doesnt go through...electronically and you are numb). Then...almost 10yrs later...she got Lou Gerigs Disease, (ALS) where transmitters in the brain die off and commuication to the limbs is lost...so you loose use of hands, arms, etc).

OK...thats enough to scare the bejebers out of anyone and I DONT mean to say you have either...BUT my POINT is....get to a neurologist....they are the experts in dealing with the nerves in the body. PLEASE make an appointment with one and keep us posted.

Sending prayers of healing....fast please! Connie

I'd say discs/nerves. Get a ref. to a specialist!

I'm going through something similar althugh nothing to what you have. My back's in constant pain and most of the day/night my upper left (around the shoulder blade area) is numb with pins and needles. Right before this started I had bad pain from my back down my leg that lasted two days. I haven't bothered going to the doctors yet. Anyway, enough about me, yes I would think it is something spine/nerve/disc related.

Hehe don't worry I understand the "Could I please trade this body in for one that WORKS!!!" Talk about wanting a refund!

I can't help but think that the numbness and goosebumps might have something to do with poor circulation?

I was wondering how you were doing and was going to send you a PM!! Cripes- uh, yeah, sounds like spine/nerves, etc.. to me!! Dont fool around with it! You need to take your test results and march to a specialist. No the numbness, and all the rest of what you have described is NOT normal, not a sprain (oh my god, where did that dr. get their license?) and sounds like you need more help than what you are getting!!

Hope the young'un is doing better- its the flu season.. we've had it here too already.

Well, if anyone was wondering, I had my MRI done this morning. But before I went for it, I called my doctor almost in tears. This pain and numbness is really getting to me. The drs. office said they would call and have my results for me today. My dr. called at 5:30 and said that what ever he was looking for didn;t show on my MRI, and that everything looks fine  Everything is not fine. I have had this for over two weeks now, and it is only getting worse. So, first thing Monday(ya right, doctors don't due first thing) my doctor is calling a specialist to get me in. Nerve specialist??? I need a nerve specialist right now, no sleep an pain 24/7. I have no nerves left, just ask my family.. And now, I can barley move my hands.. Sorry to rant, just very scared and upset.. Why do doctors play around so much? I am sure they get treatment asap when they need it..O:kay off to find the heating pad. Just wanted to do an update for anyone who was wondering..

My MRIs never showed anything either. All they showed was that there was a bulging disc. They ran every type of test to see what was wrong but nothing proved anything. The final test they did was a discogram. They inject dye into the disc spaces and watch it on a flourascope. If the dye leaks out they know where to go to fix it. It can be a very painful test but for me (after 2 years of what you're describing) I opted to do it. It couldn't hurt anymore than it all ready was.

We tried injections, drugs, acupuncture, physical therapy (the worst!), electrical impulses with a T.E.N.S. unit. None of this stuff worked. If you have more questions or need to talk about it, I've been there done that and still dealing with a little of it.

It sounds like you've been given some good advise so I will just keep you and Faith in my thoughts and prayers.
