How is a named changed on a AMHR horse?

Is there a paper you print? Who has to sign it? Breeder and owner or?

You have to have written permission from the breeder, the horse cannot have any progeny, and it costs $100.

Woudn't you need permission from the breeder of the animal? I could be wrong....I sure would want to know if someone wanted to change one of my foals names.

Yes, Sharon. You are correct and it's the breeder's permission you need. Also, the horse in question is not eligible for a name change if it has any registered off spring or if it has any registry show record.
