I am glad to see that Bruce Becker was also mentioned for his work with Arabian Nights.

That is soooo neat! I still remember loving that book from my childhood. I still remember feeling sad for the little black pony that the boy "out grew" and then the pony was able to save the boy because he was little and became the hero of the story. I read all of Walter Farley's works. I think I need to go back and read them all again!

That is great.Congratulations KHP.

There is a literacy program in Greenville,SC also. They have recruited

A 29 inch black stallion, fron KB Circle B Training Center in Greer to represent "The Black". Romeo is quite the little hambone spokesperson for their program. He is on his third book and is learning the circus tricks. The kids are all so excited to see him and he they when they have "book" day.

What a way to get the little tykes interested in reading. Wish we had something like this when I was in school.

Very cool.

Yep, read all of his books over and over, growing up.
